AMRIX offers the convenience of a once-a-day treatment

AMRIX is the only once-a-day muscle relaxer. Once-daily AMRIX provides relief of muscle spasm with a single dose taken every 24 hours.6 Once-daily dosing is possible because of the unique, extended-release design of AMRIX.6 This design allows AMRIX to get into the body soon after it is taken, and continue for the rest of the day.6

Once-daily AMRIX is available in two strengths: 15 mg and 30 mg.

15 and 30 mg Capsules

  • Take AMRIX as prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dosage for most patients is one capsule, once a day7
  • You should take AMRIX at about the same time each day7

AMRIX® (Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules) is a prescription medicine to be used along with rest and physical therapy to help control muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. AMRIX should only be taken for short periods (up to two or three weeks). It should be taken at about the same time each day.

Certain medicines may cause serious or potentially life-threatening consequences when taken in combination with AMRIX, so tell your doctor if you are taking any medicines.

You should not use AMRIX if you:

  • Are sensitive to any of its ingredients
  • Are taking certain antidepressants, such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
  • Are 65 years old or older
  • Have liver problems
  • Have certain types of heart problems
  • Have an overactive thyroid

Before taking AMRIX, talk to your doctor about all of your medical conditions, including any history of heart problems, urinary problems, or glaucoma.

AMRIX may affect your ability to perform certain hazardous tasks, such as operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle, especially when used with alcohol or other sedatives.

Side effects of AMRIX may include dry mouth, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, upset stomach, constipation, and drowsiness. Click here for full Prescribing Information.
